This is a teapot by Japanese ceramic artist 大村剛, purchased around 2008.At first glance, it resembles an old European iron antique. The deliberately raw, cut-edge finishing recalls the sharpness of sheet metal. The glaze shows irregular tonal variations reminiscent of weathered iron, with a faint metallic grain embedded in the surface.Even the base is treated with the same industrial sensibility, reinforcing the presence of iron throughout the piece.Despite its hard, industrial appearance, the teapot does not feel heavy or oppressive. When held, it reveals a quiet calmness and a surprisingly composed presence.⸻【作家について】大村剛は、1998年より陶芸家・岩田圭介氏に師事。
